- 500g pack frozen watermelon balls
- 100ml tequila
- 50ml triple sec
- 4 tsp icing sugar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Blend all the ingredients until smooth — it will be thick and slushy at first, but as the watermelon defrost, it will thin out. Chill for up to 1 day in a 1-liter bottle before serving.
- When ready to serve, give the bottle a good shake to combine the ingredients, then pour into glasses.
Tip: The margarita can also be made with 500g of fresh, deseeded watermelon flesh, but the drink will be foamy rather than slushy.
