Watermelon margarita

Ingredients

  • 500g pack frozen watermelon balls
  • 100ml tequila
  • 50ml triple sec
  • 4 tsp icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Directions

  1. Blend all the ingredients until smooth — it will be thick and slushy at first, but as the watermelon defrost, it will thin out. Chill for up to 1 day in a 1-liter bottle before serving.
  2. When ready to serve, give the bottle a good shake to combine the ingredients, then pour into glasses.

Tip: The margarita can also be made with 500g of fresh, deseeded watermelon flesh, but the drink will be foamy rather than slushy.
